Set in the heart of the historic Quex Park Estate, Quex Barn has been a hub of local produce, serving the best the local area has to offer for over 15 years. Our traditional Kentish barn provides a light, spacious environment to browse one of Kent’s biggest local produce range.
Fruit and Veg
South East Kent, including Thanet, has an abundance of Grade 1 agricultural land, which means the soil conditions are perfect to grow a wide range of agricultural and horticultural crops, including top fruit, soft fruit, salad crops and winter harvested vegetables, with consistently high yeilds. We stock the best of this produce, rotating our offerings with the seasons.
Bakery
At Quex Barn Farm Shop, we take great pride in the bread baked by our very own expert baker. Using only the finest ingredients sourced locally, our baker crafts loaves that are truly a delight to behold and savour. Whether you prefer a crusty sourdough, a soft brioche, or a classic whole wheat loaf, our baker's skill and passion shine through in every bite.
Delicatessen
Our deli counter is a vibrant tapestry of colors, showcasing a diverse selection of produce from both the local area and further afeild. From the tangy cheddars made just a stone's throw away to the delectable prosciutto imported from Italy, it's a haven for food enthusiasts seeking a taste of the finest.
Fishmonger
From Wednesday to Saturday, our fishmonger offers one of the few remaining wet-fish stalls left in the Thanet area. From plump and succulent salmon to delicate Dover sole, every fish is a testament to the pristine waters that surround the British Isles. Passionate and knowledgeable, our fish monger takes time to educate customers, sharing tips on preparation and recipes that will make mouths water.
